We're looking for a half-time Youth Director who has the passion and vision to develop a thriving youth ministry in a fast-growing city and possesses strong interpersonal skills, a mature disposition, an ability to communicate effectively, and is capable of administering a middle and upper school program with the help of volunteers.Ideally, this person will have a theological education with youth ministry experience.
This role performs essential duties and guidance for a family based youth ministry on behalf of the body of New Heights Chapel that encourages interaction and involvement between parents and their youth in providing spiritual nourishment and growth, including...
Teaching and Instruction: to provide solid Biblical teaching on a regular basis in a family-based youth ministry setting.
Worship: to provide opportunities for expressions of worship, i.e. prayer, music, singing, etc.
Evangelism: to present Jesus Christ to every young person.
Service: to provide opportunities for youth to serve the local body, outreach to their community, and those in need.
Fellowship: to provide regular opportunities for the youth to share life together. To develop, implement and provide oversight of a youth curriculum for Sundays and on youth nights.
Other responsibilities: To be in attendance for the monthly combined meeting which includes deacons, elders and staff, and to also be available at the request of the elders for any other regularly scheduled meetings. To assist in the development and coordination with the leadership of NHC any various outreach activities in spreading the Good News of our Lord and Savior.
New Heights Chapel, through God’s gifting of individuals, will equip its members to proclaim the good news of God’s salvation to the lost and will purpose to see their lives changed through Jesus Christ. Through example, leaders will seek to encourage the worship of God and inspire in all persons a love of Christ, a love for one another, a passion for righteousness, and a consciousness of their responsibility to God and their fellow humanity. We will make an unwavering commitment, whether at church or in the community, to love and accept all individuals no matter their condition or circumstance. As Christ followers, we covenant with each other to fulfill our Christian calling by Learning as we study God’s word, Living as we struggle well with life together, Loving as we serve others, and Leading as we share our faith with others (Eph. 4).
