Job Description

The person we are seeking is someone who is naturally outgoing and enjoys being out in the community meeting and building relationships face-to-face with youth and adults every day. They will have a natural rapport with middle school and high school age students and genuinly enjoy spending time with them both in church and outside of church. They will have a born-again experience with Jesus and possess a strong desire to lead students into a personal relationship with Christ. Formal ministry training, especially in youth ministry is a plus, but all candidates will be considered regardless of formal education. If they have no formal training, they must be willing to gain that training on the job as deemed appropriate by the Lead Pastor. They must show the ability to engage with students both online as well as in person. It is essential that they be a hard worker, creative and take initiative and responsibility for building the youth ministry.

We are an established church in a metro area going through a re-visioning process which includes rebuilding ministry to middle and high-schoolers in our community. Our vision includes engaging community youth in order to guide them toward a relationship with Christ and discipling them one-on-one as well as through a weekly youth gathering.
