Church description

First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Stillwater is located in a university community. Our congregation displays the willingness to ask questions, try different programs and challenge the status quo. We value education and biblical scholarship, and relate to the world as faithful stewards. Many FPC members are leaders and servants - in church, education, business and the community. Life at FPC includes worship, church school, an active youth program, family ministry, mid-week programming, local and global mission, music, university ministry, dinner groups, sports teams, Presbyterian men and women groups and older adult activities. Our children and youth CE programs include Sunday school education from pre-K through 12th grade, with a large number of experienced volunteer teachers from among the congregation. We feature a rotational classroom curriculum for our 1st-5th grade children with four specially-designed classrooms including an 8-station computer lab and a mini movie theatre. Vacation Bible School is routinely filled to capacity. Our youth programs are dynamic and growing. We have a well-developed youth ministry mission statement and five-year programming plan developed in recent years in consultation with Youth Ministry Architects and a supportive group of adult volunteers. Our programs enjoy the use of beautiful modern facilities, the result of a series of capital campaigns that renovated almost all of our church home. www.stillwaterfpc.org
