Volunteer & Team Development: Recruit, equip, train, and supervise adult volunteers and a Ministry Assistant, while partnering with the Youth Council to implement the ministry vision.
Program Management: Ensure the continuation and spiritual focus of all youth programming (weekly, retreats, mission trips) through volunteer leadership, while maintaining accurate records and communication.
Family & Congregational Integration: Partner with parents as primary faith influencers and integrate youth into the broader congregational life through intergenerational ministry and collaboration with other staff.
Administration: Prepare and manage the annual youth ministry budget, maintain facilities and resources, and participate in weekly staff meetings, planning sessions, and churchwide events.
Qualifications
- Master’s-level theological degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in congregational ministry.
Demonstrated ability to teach, lead, and connect with adolescents and parents.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the theological and cultural values of Johns Creek Baptist Church.
Demonstrates emotional maturity, self-awareness, and strong relational intelligence.
