Liberty Evangelical Free Church in Pella, Iowa is looking for a Student Ministries Pastor who has a genuine love for Christ, and who is enthusiastic about ministering to middle school and high school students. We are an Evangelical Free Church that averages approximately 350 attendees on Sunday mornings. The high school youth group is averaging 40-50 students in attendance, and the middle school ministry (7th & 8th grades) averages approximately 25 in attendance. We presently have a very strong foundation in place, with more than a dozen committed adults assisting with the ministry.

The Student Ministries Pastor should possess the ability to communicate God’s Word with accuracy and relevance, creating disciplemaking environments that challenge students to move to their next level of spiritual maturity. The Student Ministries Pastor should be a person who is increasingly governed by God’s Word and pursuing a deeper walk with Christ. They are to be “an example to others in life, in speech, in love, in faith, and in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12). They need to have a deep sense of calling to youth ministry. The person should already have the proven ability to oversee a ministry to students of our size and scope. We are looking for a person who is well qualified to continue training, guiding, and encouraging our team of adult leaders who assist with the ministry. The students have expressed a desire to have their next Student Ministries Pastor be someone who can create a positive environment where students are accepted and appreciated. They would also like someone who will challenge them to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ, being better equipped to influence their friends for Christ.

At Liberty E-Free Church we value Bible-centered (expository) preaching, relationships, prayer, and strong children’s & youth ministries. We have a building that is 8 years old, including a gym and youth room. We are very excited about the future!! One added benefit-- our district’s E-Free Student Ministries Pastors gather together regularly and provide a very strong network of support for each other. Together, they also organize some larger venue events for the students within the Central District.

Pella is a well-known community of 10,000 people, located just 40 miles east of Des Moines. Each year, thousands of people visit Pella for its unique shops and Dutch culture. Pella is home to two corporate headquarters (Pella Windows and Vermeer Corp), as well as Central College. The schools in Pella have a strong reputation for excellence in academics, athletics, and music. Pella is a very desirable mid-sized, Midwest community to live in.
