Job Description

First Baptist Church in Spencer, Iowa, is seeking a Pastor of Family Ministries to provide Christ-centered leadership and vision for our ministries to children, students, and families. This full-time pastoral role includes oversight of Middle School and High School student ministries, coordination of children’s ministry programs (including Kids worship, and AWANA), and the development of discipleship opportunities for parents and young adults. The ideal candidate will have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a heart for outreach and spiritual formation, and the ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and church leadership. Responsibilities also include preaching, pastoral care, and community engagement as needed. A theological degree is preferred but not required based on ministry experience. Candidates must affirm the church’s constitution, by-laws, and statement of faith, and meet biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership.

We have many young people who have grown up in the church, who are now missionaries. There love for the Lord is incredible and we support them through the church as well as other Missionaries and there families.
