Skills

Relevant Skills:

Music: I sing with the worship team each week and have been on worship teams and sang in choirs.

Preaching: I speak each week, teach Sunday School, and teach at our home School co-op chapel service every Tuesday night.

Board meetings: I am able to lead meeting and also be a part of meetings.

Teaching: As a Pastor and as a former youth Pastor I have taught all ages and have prepared Sunday School lessons, Junior Church and youth lessons to help the adults, teens, and kids come to know the Lord in a personal way and to apply the Bible in a relevant ways to their lives. I also had weekly meetings.

Counseling: I recently graduated from light University with 2 certificates in Biblical counseling. In addition to this I was mentored by a licensed for 2 years.

Hospital visits: On a regular basis I have visited emergency rooms, as well as hospital rooms.

Home visits: I typically do about 12 home visit a month.

Community involvement: We do lots of outreach through our community garden. Also through our movie nights and pop can fund with which we can get groceries and gas money to people. Also through adopting families for Christmas to provide gifts.

Certified in Center Shot archery: I am trained archery instructor and use that ministry to train kids in archery, but we teach them a Bible lesson as part of the archery course.

Testimony:

I was born into a Christian home to very loving parents Beth and Dennis Gunderman and my older sister Stacey Gunderman( now McWethy). We lived in Farwell Michigan until I was 5 years old and then we moved to Clare Michigan where I lived until I went to Cornerstone University. We attended Trinity Baptist I was really young and then First Baptist church in Clare Michigan every time the doors were opened. When I was 5 years old I was with my Grandma Ferguson and she was talking about Heaven and Hell and this interested me, so I began to ask questions about both Heaven and Hell. At 5 years old I knew that I did not want to go to Hell, so right then and there I prayed with my Grandma to receive salvation. As a 5 year old I did not fully grasp my faith. When I was in middle school we had a new youth pastor come to our church. Over the course of time that he was there he mentored me and helped me grow a great deal. He was very pivotal in my spiritual growth. It was under his leadership and in his ministry that I was called into the ministry at the age of 16.

After I graduated from Clare High School. I had the the privilege of going on a 2 month mission trip with OM missions. After that I went to Mid Michigan Community college just to get general education classes out of the way. To fast forward a bit the year after I graduated I attended Cornerstone University for Youth Ministry. After that year of college I worked at Youth Haven Ranch and was able to do a lot of great ministry. I had no idea that was the place that I was going to meet my wife. A young lady by the name of Michelle who grew up in church and was saved and baptized in between 5th and 6th grade. To make a long story short we fell madly in love with each other and six months after meeting we were married. Michelle and I have been married now for over 21 years and we had our daughter Bethany Joy Gunderman on April 18th 2016. She is a miracle child and was born 5 weeks premature at 3 pounds 3 ounces. She is 10 years old and is a huge blessing in our life.

In 2014 I was ordained in the Wesleyan church and just 2 years prior to that I graduated from the Nazarene Bible College with a certificate of completion through their MPP program.

My wife and I have been doing ministry in an official pastoral capacity for almost 18 years now. We are seeking to be faithful to God on this journey called the Christian life. We are seeking to put him first and follow him and serve in whatever capacity he has for us. All the while allowing him to grow us spiritually so we can be more like him daily.
